Our Story

Love Willow Founder – Marie Towers

A little bit about me and my floristry journey – my obsession with flowers and nature started when visiting my grandparents as a child. There garden was such a magical place, with secret pathways, lots of scented roses and a big pond in the centre, which was hidden away by flowers and plants. I was always drawn to pretty and unusual gardens, especially if there was secret pathways and doors but never dreamed that one day, I would become a florist.

When I was 19, my very talented Mum introduced me to the world of floristry when she opened a village flower shop and I took a huge leap into the unknown to join and support her in her new adventure. I enrolled on a 3-year floristry course as I had zero experience in flowers and instantly fell in love with it! After 9 years, I took a break from full time floristry to bring up my 3 beautiful daughters.

In 2019, I started to dip my toe back into the world of flowers and I soon started to realise how much I had missed it and Love Willow was founded. I can honestly say that my love for floristry is greater now than it was back in the beginning as I now think I appreciate more, what it means to be able to create something beautiful and the difference you can make to people’s lives with flowers! I initially worked from a workroom at my home until the business grew so much that we moved it to the Poplars Farm in 2023.

Nothing beats seeing a bride’s face when you deliver her wedding flowers, a venue all decorated, kind words and a lovely review from a customer. Yes, it can be stressful at times but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
